2008 Outdoor-Earned All-America honors in the decathlon after finishing as the eighth American at the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... Finished 12th overall in the decathlon with his score of 7,288 (June 11-12) ... Placed third in the decathlon at the SEC Outdoor Championships and earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors with a personal-best score of 7,360, which ranks as the third-highest score by a freshman in school history (May 15-16) ... Earned a regional-qualifying and personal-best mark of 16-6 3/4 while placing fifth in the pole vault at the conference championship meet (May 18) ... Also finished third in the decathlon at the Sea Ray Relays with a score of 7,227 in his first multi-event competition in front of the home crowd (April 9-10) ...
