    2005: Mindy scored indoors and out at the conference meet and was part of an conference champion distance medley relay unit for the second year in a row...Charged hard down the stretch to snatch fourth place in the mile and help Tennessee win the SEC Indoor team trophy...Ran a career-best 4:57.1 in the prelims and crossed in 4:58.07 in the final...Best 800-meter result was a 2:13.30, fourth-place count at the Penn State Invitational...Filled opening leg on SEC champion DMR unit, which chugged home in 11:40.94...Outdoors, she notched a seventh-place performance in the SEC 1500 meters, finishing in 4:30.51...Season best in that event came at the Knoxville Twilight, as she rolled to a 4:29.54 reading to place third at Tom Black Track...That mark, however, did not meet the regional qualifying standard...Also ran 800 meters at the conference meet, but her season-best 2:12.74 effort in the prelims did not merit advancement...Relay work included stints on UT's second-place 4x800m (8:59.62) and distance medley (11:27.44) relays at Sea Rays as well as a third-place finish in the 4x1500m (18:19.18) at the Florida Relays and a sixth-place result in the 4x800m event (8:40.24) at the Penn Relays...The 4x15 readout was third-best in UT history.

    2004: In her first season of action, Mindy participated in five meets and won an SEC title as part of a relay team...Ran the 800m leg on Tennessee's SEC Indoor meet-record distance medley relay outfit, which won in a time of 11:16.61 to snap a 17-year-old league standard...Also ran the half-mile hitch on a DMR collection that won in 11:25.45 at the SEC Invitational...Individually, Mindy was 12th in the 800 meters at the SEC Championships, clocking in at 2:09.44 in the prelims...Her career best indoors, however, came at the Penn State National Open with a 2:09.17 output...Logged a then-PR in the mile with a 4:58.06 readout at the SEC Invitational...Outdoors, Mindy was entered in a pair of events at the SEC Championships, taking 19th in the 800 meters in a season-best 2:10.48 and 17th in the 1500 meters in a then-career-topping 4:41.79...Ran with UT's DMR unit at the Sea Ray Relays, aiding an 11:14.09, second-place cause with an 800m leg.

    2003: Made one appearance indoors before redshirting in her first year at Tennessee...Checked in at 5:17.40 in the mile run at the Virginia Tech Kroger Invitational...Also ran on a 4x400m relay quartet during that meet.


    Mindy spent her final two prep seasons at Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, and previously attended Franklin High School (El Paso, Texas) and Colorado City (Texas) High School...On the track, Mindy was one of the nation's best prep runners at 800 meters...She broke a 20-year-old Texas state meet mark in the outdoor 800 in 2001, finishing first in a career-best 2:08.38...That mark ranked her number two nationally...Won the 2002 Nike National Indoor Classic, setting a meet record and the national flat track record in the process at 2:10.42...Finished first and notched a meet standard at the 2002 adidas Midwest Indoor Classic in 2:12.87...Mindy was a 2002 Track & Field News Indoor All-American in the 800m...Earned outdoor All-America distinction in 2001 from Track & Field News, AAU, Dyestat, Verizon and USA Today...She charted regional 800m titles in 1999 and 2001 and district medals in 1999, 2000 and 2001...Owns career marks of 55.91 in the 400m, 5:01.62 in the 1600m, 5:04.52 in the mile and 10:46.00 in the 3200m...In cross country as a senior, she was a Foot Locker National Championships finalist, finishing 17th in 17:56.74...Claimed fifth at the Foot Locker South Regional...Earned all-state at the 5A classification her final two seasons, winning the title as a senior while setting the state and meet records, and finishing sixth as a junior...For her efforts, she was named the Texas High School Coaches Association Cross Country Runner of the Year in 2001...As a freshman at CCHS, she earned all-state honors at the 3A level for placing 16th...Had runner-up regional finishes in 2000 and 2001 after emerging victorious in 1998...Triumphed at the district championships her final two years and was second in 1998...Named Most Outstanding Female Cross Country Runner at CHS as a junior and senior and was team MVP at Franklin in 1999 and Colorado City in 1998...Made All-El Paso in 1999 as well...Holds CHS records at both the state course, Old Settler's Park in Round Rock, Texas, (10:46.00) and the district trail, Mae Simmons in Lubbock (11:07)...Was a member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society at CHS.


    Mindy is majoring in finance...Admires Czech distance runner Emil Zapotek, who, after winning the gold medal in the 10,000 meters at the 1948 Olympics, won gold in the 5000m, 10,000m and marathon at the 1952 Games...She has two siblings: sister Wendy, 24; and brother Nick, 18...Wendy was a two-time cross country All-American at the University of Chicago and was a big influence on Mindy's decision to run competitively...Mindy Kate Sullivan was born on Dec. 24, 1983, in Brownfield, Texas...Mother is Nancy Sullivan.
