2013 TRACK & FIELD
Indoors
- Competed at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Qualifier, finishing seventh with a height of 17-0.25
- Finished just outside the scoring eight at the league meet, placing ninth with a height of 16-7.5
- Vaulted 16-6.75 and finished third at the Samford Invitational just behind teammates Jake Blankenship and Chase Brannon
- Matched his career-best height of 17-0.75 at the Armory Invitational, where he tied for sixth place in the Championship division
- Represented the Vols at the Texas A&M Mondo Challenge, finishing with a final height of 16-8.25 to place fifth
- Competed unattached at the Virginia Tech Invitational, finishing fourth with a height of 16-9.50
2012 TRACK & FIELD
Indoors - Charted personal bests in his first two meets...Cleared the bar in a PR of 17-0 3/4 to finish fourth at the Auburn Invitational...Opened the campaign with a then-best of 16-5 1/2 to take third at the Kentucky Invitational...Also came in third at the Texas A&M Mondo Challenge, clearing 16-1 3/4 as UT swept the first three places...Flew over 16-7 at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, but that was good enough for only 13th in the championship section...Handled 16-6 at the Akron Invitational to place eighth in the Gold Division...Outdoors - N/A.
2011 TRACK & FIELD
Indoors - Twice registered career bests during the indoor season...Cleared 16-1 3/4 at the Hokie Invitational to place eighth...Matched that height at the Texas A&M Challenge, winding up in fourth place...Finished fourth in the college division at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, sailing over 16-0 3/4...Outdoors - Best mark outdoors came at the Sea Ray Relays, where he posted a mark of 16-0 3/4 to place third in the open division...Was 11th at the Penn Relays, clearing 15-3 in the college division...Same height earned him fourth at the UCF Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL
Cleared his career-best height and a Georgia all-classes state record of 16-7 1/4 in the pole vault at the 2010 Georgia Olympics AA division, where he was victorious...Became only the seventh prep athlete to clear 16 feet in the Peach State...Also won at that event, which is the state championship meet, in 2008 (A) and 2009 (AA)...Three-time region champ in the pole vault...Placed 14th at 2010 New Balance Outdoor Nationals with a clearance of 15-6 1/4.

Born Dec. 14, 1991, in Athens, Ga....Majoring in communications...Parents are Gary and Karen Porter...Comes from a family of vaulters...Grandfather vaulted at Georgia Tech, Uncle and Great Uncle at Florida State and aunt at Georgia...Siblings are Savannah and Chaz...Recipient of the Harry W. Brooks Endowment Scholarship.
