TOP PERFORMERS
Sophomore // St. Joseph, Ill.

Blaase reached the SEC awards podium for the first time in her career, taking silver in the 5,000-meter run. She finished in 16:06.69, just off her best time.

Freshman // Lorton, Va.

Majors picked up a pair of fifth-place finishes to close out her first conference meet. She was fifth in the 200 meters (23.28) and the 400 meters (52.65).

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Tennessee recorded 16 top-10 finishes Saturday to wrap up the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

With six individual finalists leading the way in the third day of the meet, the Tennessee women vaulted to seventh in the final team rankings with 35 points. Florida won with a score of 102. On the men's side, the Vols were ninth with 34 points. Arkansas won with 121 points.

Sophomore Chelsea Blaase reached the SEC awards podium for the first time in her career. She posted the Lady Vols' top individual finish of the weekend, taking silver in the 5,000-meter run in 16 minutes, 6.69 seconds.

Felecia Majors recorded a pair of individual top-five finishes. The Lady Vol freshman took fifth in the 400 meters (52.65) and fifth in the 200 meters (23.28) later in the evening.

Like Majors, sophomore Alexis Panisse also had a pair of individual finals on her schedule. She was fifth in the 800 in 2:05.38 and also took eighth in the mile (4:45.99). Senior teammate Brittney Jackson was also in the finals of the 800, placing eighth in 2:10.96.

The women's relay teams posted top-eight finishes to end the night. The distance medley relay team took fourth (11:21.40) and the 4x400 team was seventh (3:40.26).

On the men's side, one of the highlights of the day came in pole vault. Chase Brannon, Tyler Porter and Michael Maira all cleared 5.13 meters (16 feet, 10 inches) to finish fifth, sixth and seventh.

The Vols also collected a pair of top-eight finishers in the shot put. Matthew Hoty came in fifth 18.85m/61-10.25) and Tavis Bailey was sixth (18.73m/61-5.5). It was Bailey's second top-five finish this weekend; he was also fourth in the weight throw.

Jamol James recorded the Vols' best individual finish on the track. He took fourth in the 60 meters in a career-best 6.69.
