ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Tennessee track and field had five athletes travel to the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend in Albuquerque. Tennessee did not have any advancers in the concluding meet for the indoor season.
In the women's 200m, Felicia Brown finished 10th and Felecia Majors 13th. Brown's time of 23.37 seconds is a new personal best in the event. Majors' time was 23.71 for the evening and went on to place 16th in 400m. Her time in that event was 53.63.
Alexis Panisse represented the Big Orange in the women's 800m. In a highly touted field of national powers, she placed 12th in 2:09.66. Chelsea Blaase rounded out competition for the Lady Vols in the 5000m. She posted her third fastest time of the season, 16:38.34, to place 11th.
The lone Volunteer in action for Tennessee was Cameron Brown in the weight throw. Brown earned 12th in the competition with a mark of 66 feet 9.75 inches (20.36 meters).
This brings Tennessee's indoor season to a close with 30 wins, 97 top ten finishes, and 206 personal bests. The Big Orange opens the outdoor season at Alabama on March 23.
