EUGENE, Ore. -- Rising sophomore Felecia Majors finished fourth in the 400 meters on Sunday at the USATF Junior Championships at Hayward Field.
Majors was fourth in the finals in 53.42 seconds, more than a second faster than her heat-winning preliminary time.
By placing in the top six, Majors qualifies to represent the U.S. in the IAAF World Junior Championships later this month.
The world championships will be back on Oregon's home track July 22-27.
Majors had a solid freshman season at Tennessee. She represented UT at the NCAA indoor and outdoor championships and scored at both SEC meets. She was 13th in the 400 meters at the NCAA outdoor championships (53.63), which was also held in Oregon.
