Tennessee incoming freshman Christian Coleman was named to USA Today's All-USA Track and Field Team.
The native of Fayetteville, Ga., was one of five high schoolers named to the list's first team after posting one of the fastest 100-meter dash times in the country this year.
Since wrapping up his senior year of high school, Coleman has had a busy summer of competition.
He had a career meet at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in mid-June. He finished second in the 100 dash in 10.30 seconds to earn his way on the All-USA list. The time ranked fifth in the country and first in Georgia.
He broke 21 seconds in the 200 meters in the meet as well, finishing fifth with a time of 20.94. The time was 11th in the country and first in the state.
Later in the month, Coleman won the 100 meters at the Brooks PR Invitational with a wind-aided time of 10.29.
Coleman also ended his time at Our Lady of Mercy school on a high note. He collected four gold medals and set three Georgia Class A-private records at his final state championship meet. He set records in the 100 meters (10.38), the 200 meters (21.1) and another as part of the 400-meter relay team (41.88).
He also won a state title in the long jump and was named the outstanding performer of the meet.
