Previewing the Women's Competition
Tennessee: 11-2-1 (3-2-1 SEC)

In our last event: Tennessee women's cross country team pulled together in effort to tie for first in the Mountain Dew Invitational. Alexis Panisse led the team with a fifth place finish as five Lady Vols placed in the top 30. "On the women's side, it was obviously a better group run than Belmont. That's the type of progress we have to make if we're going to have an impact on our league. (Alexis) Panisse, Emily (Williams), Kelsey (Kane), Patavia (Lowery) and Chelsea (Blaase) all ran very solid," said Tennessee director of track and field/cross country J.J. Clark.

Lady Vol Spotlight: Sophomore Alexis Panisse takes the spotlight for the Lady Volunteers this preview. Rebounding from a 28th place finish in the season opener to taking 5th in the last race, Panisse has proven what extra determination and desire can cause. As competition begins to stiffen, look for her to answer the call as a leader for the Lady Vols.
