2002 SEASON: Starting center fielder who led the team in 10 offensive categories (average, slugging, on-base percentage, runs scored, RBI, doubles, home runs, total bases, walks and hit by pitch) while ranking second in hits and steals ... Hit .362 with eight home runs, 20 doubles, 46 RBI, 47 runs scored and 24 stolen bases ... Became first Vol since Todd Helton in 1995 to win the team Triple Crown, and only the eighth overall ... Ranked fifth in the SEC in stolen bases and on-base pct. (.465), while rating seventh in slugging (.613) and doubles ... Made 54 starts in center field, missing one game due to injury ... Batted .402 with five home runs and 29 RBI in SEC play ... Was second on team with 22 multi-hit games, including a team-high three four-hit games ... Had four-hit games against Arizona State 2/8, Arkansas 4/19 and Vanderbilt 5/19 ... Also had seven three-hit games ... Led club with 11 multi-RBI contests, with a season-high five versus Kentucky 4/5 ... Tied school record with four extrabase hits against Arkansas 4/19 ... Went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two home runs while scoring four times and driving in four ... Collected back-to-back two double games against Arkansas 4/19-20 ... Drew four walks against Bowling Green 2/16 and stole three bases versus Eastern Michigan 2/23 ... Finished the season strong by batting .484 in April and May, a span of 23 games ... Reached base safely in 47 of 54 games ... Hit .450 against left-handers, .340 versus right-handers, .424 with runners in scoring position and 20 two-out RBI ... Played with the Torrington Twisters in the New England Collegiate Baseball League during the summer ... Hit .270 with four doubles, two triples, seven stolen bases and eight RBI in 16 games.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Okaloosa-Walton Community College where he was coached by David Garner ... Earned second team All-Conference honors in 2001 after batting .295 with seven doubles, six home runs, 40 runs scored and a team-high 39 stolen bases ... Did not make an error in two years in the outfield ... Team finished second in the Panhandle Conference and qualified for the FCCAA State/Region tournament ... Okaloosa-Walton won the Panhandle Conference championship during his freshman campaign in 2000 when he hit .350 with four home runs, 36 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and 22 RBI ... Played on the Florida Junior College All-Star team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Anderson High School where he was coached by Terry Turner and Wally Aaron ... Hit .346 with three home runs and 27 RBI as a junior ...
