Helped lead the Bucs to their second straight Alabama Junior College State Championship and a national runner-up finish at the NJCAA College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo....Team finished with a 45-17 (19-8 ACCC) record...Was one of three Bucs named to the National All-Tournament Team and one of four to earn All-ACCC Tournament Team honors...His 1.24 RBIs per game ranked seventh in NJCAA Division I...He also ranked 17th in home runs per game and 21st in total bases per game...Drove in six runs against Meridian on April 14...Collected four three-hit games...Coached at Shelton State by Bobby Sprowl.
2007 - FRESHMAN
Played mostly as the DH in limited action and missed most of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right arm...Shelton State turned in a 49-17 overall record, captured the Alabama Junior College State Championship, the Region XXII Championship and finished fifth at the NJCAA College World Series.
Graduated from Newnan High School in Newnan, Ga., where he was coached by Kenny Morris...Was a four-year starter on the varsity baseball team...Hit .412 as a junior and played sparingly as a senior after suffering an arm injury...Also quarterbacked the football team and signed NLI to play football at UAB...Set Georgia state records as a junior by throwing for 3,057 yards and 24 touchdowns...Finished his career as the school's all-time passing leader and one of the top-five passers in state prep history with 4,977 yards ...Was active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
