Helped lead YHC to the school's first-ever appearance in the NJCAA College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo....Hit .358 with 13 doubles, nine home runs and 65 RBIs as the Mountain Lions went 46-22...Also posted a 9-2 record on the mound with a 2.58 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 106 innings...Helped YHC win the Region XVII regular season and tournament titles, as well as the district championship...Named to the 2007 GJCAA All-Conference Team, earning first-team honors as both a pitcher and designated hitter...Also named to the GJCAA All-Tournament Team while being selected as Tournament MVP...Was a YHC teammate of fellow UT newcomer Michael Hornsby...Selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 50th round of the 2007 MLB draft (1,448th overall pick).
