2000: Gained medical hardship after missing most of the season with a broken hand, seeing action in 12 games ... Made one start in left field and one as the DH ... Hit .143 with a double, five runs scored and three RBI ... Got first hit at Hawaii-Hilo 2/8 ... Had a two-run double and stole a base against Appalachian State 2/26 ... Also drew three walks and played error-free in the field.
JEFFERSON STATE CC: Attended Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Ala., where he was a two-time all-region selection ... Hit .388 in career with 17 home runs, 100 RBI and 44 stolen bases ... Got hit by a pitch 31 times ... As a sophomore in 1999, he led team for second straight year with a .401 average, with 8 home runs and 48 RBI ... Collected 10 doubles with a triple while getting hit by a pitch 21 times and swiping 24 bases ... As a freshman he was the leading hitter with a .375 average and set school RBI record with 52 ...
