2009 - JUNIOR
First-year Vol made 15 appearances with six starts...Posted a 7.80 ERA with a 2-6 record over 42 2/3 innings...Recorded 50 strikeouts with only 24 walks...Right-handers hit .231 against him while left-handers hit .278...Batters hit .204 against him with two outs in the inning...He made eight appearances during SEC play...All of his starts came during conference play...Began the season as the Vols' most consistent long-relief pitcher before moving into the starting rotation for the final two months of the season...Made his Volunteer debut on Feb. 27 against West Virginia as he took the loss after surrendering one run on two hits in four innings pitched...Earned his first collegiate win with a 3 1/3 inning performance against Ohio on March 7 where he allowed only one run on one hit while striking out five...Worked a season high 4 2/3 innings in relief against Louisville on March 11...Made his SEC debut March 15 vs. Auburn, allowing two runs on four hits with a season-high six strikeouts through 3 1/3 innings...Pitched three innings in relief against Tennessee Tech on March 18...Took his second loss of the year when he allowed two runs on two hits in 2 1/3 inning at Florida on March 22...Worked a scoreless inning against UNC Asheville on March 25...Made his first collegiate start against Georgia on March 29, taking the loss after allowing four runs on three hits in four innings of work...Also took the loss against Alabama on April 3, giving up five run on four hits in 3 1/3 innings...Earned his second victory with five innings of one-run work on April 10 vs. Mississippi State...Worked a scoreless inning of relief against Belmont on April 14...Endured a rough start on April 17 at No. 1 LSU, taking the loss after giving up 10 runs (nine earned) on seven hits while issuing five walks and striking out four...Picked up the loss in his second straight outing as he gave up one run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning versus ETSU on April 21...Made his final two appearances of the year as the starter against South Carolina (May 9) and Vanderbilt (May 16), earning a no decision in both.

2008 - SOPHOMORE
Posted a 4.96 ERA and a 6-4 record while pitching 49 innings in 14 appearances...Struck out 57 batters while issuing 21 walks...Coached at St. Petersburg College by Dave Pano...Rated by Baseball America as the No. 1 prospect in the Florida Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2007 after he logged 43 strikeouts and allowed only 19 hits in 26 innings for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs.

2007 - FRESHMAN
Threw 36 1/3 innings in 10 appearances, allowing 17 runs (15 earned) for a 3.72 ERA...Compiled a 1-3 record with 56 strikeouts and 38 walks...Was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 47th round of the 2007 MLB draft (1,375th overall pick)...It was the second straight year he was drafted by the Brewers.
