Knoxville, Tenn. - Ben Riley extended his scoreless innings streak to 14 2/3 with five shutout innings against the Siena Saints as the Tennessee Volunteers posted their 12th consecutive victory with a 12-2 decision. The game was shortened to eight innings due to Siena's travel schedule. It was UT's third straight series sweep at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The win extended Tennessee's home winning streak to 21 straight as it improved to 16-2. Siena fell to 5-9.

Riley (2-0) gave up just two hits as he struck out a season-high five in the win. He also moved into ninth-place on UT's career innings pitched list at 204.

Chris Kemp and Michael Rivera each collected three hits as the Vols scored in every inning. Rivera extended his hitting streak to a team-high nine games.

Craig Cobb and Mike Kerfeld each pitched scoreless innings of relief, while the Saints scratched for two runs in the eighth off Scot Drucker. John Wilkes had an RBI single and Tony Cipolla scored on a sacrifice fly for the only Siena runs.

John Lannan (2-2) took the loss as he surrendered seven runs (three earned) on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Three Saint errors led to three Vol runs in the first, while Kyle Norrid's hit gave the Vols a 4-0 lead in the second.

Tennessee added a pair of runs in the third on an RBI double by Rob Fitzgerald and a single by Rivera. Kemp had a run scoring double in the fourth, while Kelly Edmundson delivered a smashing RBI double in the fifth as the lead was extended to 9-0.

Brian Cleveland's two-run single in the sixth made it 11-0, before Alex Suarez doubled home the final run in the seventh.

Tennessee closes out its 13-game home stand Tuesday against the Lipscomb Bison at 7 p.m. ET.
