Hokie-Smokey Classic Tickets On Sale

SALEM, Va. – Tickets for the 2014 Hokie-Smokey Classic at LewisGale Field, the home of the Salem Red Sox in Salem, Va., are now on sale.

Head coach Dave Serrano and the 25th-ranked Vols (19-8) will take on Atlantic Coast Conference affiliate Virginia Tech (14-12) on Tuesday, April 15. First pitch at the Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate’s ballpark is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.

When buying in advance, general admission tickets are available for $7, first and third baseline box seats are on sale for $9 and behind home plate premium seating is available for $11. Prices go up $2 in each section when purchasing tickets on game day. Premium seats include VIP in-seat waitress service and a padded seat with cup holders.

A $1 discount for seniors (65+), children 12 and under and members of the military is available when purchasing tickets on game day.

Tickets can be purchased 24 hours a day through the official ticketing website of the Classic, www.HokieSmokeyClassic.com. For additional questions, fans may call the Salem Red Sox ticket office at (540) 389-3333.

Tennessee and Virginia Tech renewed the Hokie-Smokey Classic for the first time since 2001 last season at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tenn., with the Vols coming out on top 5-4. Virginia Tech currently holds a 10-8 advantage in the all-time series against the Vols.
