KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Vols have twenty-one former players playing professional baseball at every level. One former Vol, Julio Borbon, posted an impressive week of play for the Triple-A Norfolk Tides.
R.A. Dickey - SP, Toronto Blue Jays
Season: 6-5, 4.08 ERA, 15 G, 90.1 IP, 86 H, 48 R, 41 ER, 40 BB, 72 K
R.A. Dickey dropped to 6-5 with a 4.08 ERA after a 3-2 loss to the Orioles Saturday night. Dickey received a loss after tossing 6.2 innings allowing two earned runs on six hits and striking out four. He leads the Blue Jays with 72 strikeouts on the season.
Yan Gomes - C, Cleveland Indians
Season: .256, 61 G, 27 R, 55 H, 9 2B, 1 3B, 7 HR, 23 RBIs
Yan Gomes appeared in five games this week (June 12-18) for the Cleveland Indians. Gomes had a rough week in which he saw his batting average drop five points. He went 3-for-16 with a double and one RBI. Gomes started the week off on a bright spot going 2-for-4 during a loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Chase Headley - 3B, San Diego Padres
Season: .204, 55 G, 19 R, 39 H, 8 2B, 6 HR, 23 RBIs
Chase Headley played in seven games during the past week (June 12-18) for the San Diego Padres. He went 6-for-25 with two doubles, one home run, three walks and three RBIs. Headley saw his batting average rise five points over the course of a solid week for the former Vol.
Luke Hochevar - SP, Kansas City Royals
Luke Hochevar underwent Tommy John surgery on March 18, 2014. He will miss the entire 2014 season and is expected to return for the 2015 season.
J.P. Arencibia - C, Round Rock Express (AAA - Texas Rangers)

(Minors) Season: .253, 26 G, 16 R, 25 H, 3 2B, 5 HR, 16 RBIs
J.P. Arencibia played in six games this week (June 12-18) for the Round Rock Express. He went 5-for-25 with two doubles, one home run, two walks and four RBIs. Arencibia saw his batting average fall 17 points over the week. He started the week off on a great note, going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs (June 13).
Julio Borbon - OF, Norfolk Tides (AAA - Baltimore Orioles)
Season: .278, 65 G, 39 R, 64 H, 4 2B, 4 3B, 4 HR, 26 RBIs
Julio Borbon had an impressive week (June 12-18) for the Norfolk Tides. He went 9-for-25 (.360) with one run scored and three stolen bases over the course of six games. Borbon's week included a 3-for-4 with one run scored and two stolen bases effort (June 16). He is currently on a 3-game hitting streak in which he is 6-for-12 (.500).
Kentrail Davis - OF, Huntsville Stars (AA - Milwaukee Brewers)
Season: .262, 54 G, 25 R, 50 H, 11 2B, 2 HR, 22 RBIs
Kentrail Davis saw his batting average rise four points through three games over the past week (June 12-18). He went 4-for-13 with one double and three RBIs for the Huntsville Stars. Davis is currently riding a 5-game hitting streak (June 10-14) in which he is 8-for-22 (.364) with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored.
Matt Duffy - 3B, Oklahoma City RedHawks (AAA - Houston Astros)

Matt Duffy continued to swing it well for the Oklahoma City RedHawks this past week (June 12-18). Through seven games, he went 7-for-26 with two doubles, one home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Duffy raised his batting average 17 points this week. Over the past two weeks, he has hit an impressive .326 for the RedHawks. Duffy's hot streak has raised his batting average 192 points over the past two weeks.
Blake Forsythe - C, Midland RockHounds (AA - Oakland Athletics)
Season: .196, 29 G, 13 R, 19 H, 4 2B, 3 HR, 9 RBIs
Blake Forsythe had a great week (June 12-18) for the Midland RockHounds. He went 5-for-12 with one RBI through three games for the week. Forsythe's hot week helped raise his batting average 24 points over the span of three games.
Zack Godley - RP, Daytona Cubs (A-Advanced - Chicago Cubs)
Season: 2-1, 5.40 ERA, 11 G, 16.2 IP, 21 H, 15 R, 10 ER, 9 BB, 21 K
Zack Godley threw 1.0 inning for the Daytona Cubs on June 16. He allowed no hits, walked one and struck out the side. Godley has now struck out six hitters through his last 3.0 innings of work for the Cubs. His no-hit inning Monday night lowered his ERA 34 points. Godley has not allowed an earned run during his last three appearances (6.2 innings).
Steven Gruver - RP, Fort Myers Miracle (A-Advanced - Minnesota Twins)

Nick Hernandez received a no-decision during his start last night (June 18) for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Hernandez threw 7.0 innings allowing only two runs on six hits while fanning nine hitters. He saw his ERA drop 44 points after last night's performance.

Zach Osborne posted an impressive week (June 12-18) with the Asheville Tourists. He went 6-for-10 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Osborne is currently riding a 6-game hitting streak (June 4-15) in which he is hitting 10-for-20 (.500) with four runs scored and two RBIs. During his last 10 games, Osborne is hitting a remarkable .441 with one double, six runs scored and three RBIs.
Matt Ramsey - RP, Montgomery Biscuits (AA - Tampa Bay Rays)

Matt Ramsey recorded two saves over the past week (June 12-18) for the Montgomery Biscuits. Ramsey fired 3.0 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out four. He has been extremely dominant at home this season. Ramsey has appeared in seven games and recorded 9.2 shutout innings and 15 strikeouts at home for the Biscuits.
Andy Simunic - OF, Gwinnett Braves (AAA - Atlanta Braves)

Andy Simunic signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves on June 6 after being released by the Houston Astros. Simunic had spent his entire career in the Houston organization. He has appeared in eight games since joining the Gwinnett Braves. Simunic went 2-for-9 this past week (June 12-18) with the Braves.
Taylor Smart - SS, Everett AquaSox (A-Short Season - Seattle Mariners)
Season: .222, 5 G, 1 R, 2 H, 0 2B, 0 HR, 0 RBIs
Taylor Smart appeared in five games his first week (June 12-18) for the Everett AquaSox. He went 2-for-9 with one run scored and three walks. Smart recorded his first professional hit, a single, on June 16 against the Hillsboro Hops.
