Summer Update (7/8): Lance On Fire

ALASKA BASEBALL LEAGUE

Peter Lenstrohm - RHP, Anchorage Bucs
Season: 0-2, 5.06 ERA, 13 G, 16.0 IP, 14 H, 11 R, 9 ER, 13 BB, 15 K
Peter Lenstrohm made two appearances last week (July 1-7), tossing 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed one earned run on five hits and struck out four. Opponents are hitting .237 off of Lenstrohm this summer.

Bret Marks - RHP, Anchorage Bucs
Season: 2-2, 2.39 ERA, 8 G, 26.1 IP, 22 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 11 BB, 30 K
Bret Marks made his third start of the summer on July 4. He was charged with his second loss after tossing 6.1 innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out seven hitters.

Jordan Rodgers - INF, Matsu Miners
Season: .241, 18 G, 8 R, 14 H, 4 2B, 0 HR, 9 RBIs, 2-4 SB
Jordan Rodgers went 2-for-6 with a walk in two games last week with the Matsu Miners (July 1-7). His week helped raise his average 15 points.

Nick Senzel - 2B, Matsu Miners
Season: .210, 23 G, 17 R, 17 H, 4 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 13 RBIs, 6-9 SB
After posting incredible numbers last week (June 24-31), Nick Senzel had a tough week, going 2-for-15 (.133) with three runs scored, one RBI, one stolen base and six walks through five games with the Matsu Miners (July 1-7). Senzel has reached base in an increcible 20 of 23 games this summer.

Kyle Serrano - RHP, Matsu Miners
Season: 0-1, 4.00 ERA, 5 G, 18.0 IP, 12 H, 13 R, 8 ER, 19 BB, 30 K
Kyle Serrano did not log any innings this week (July 1-7).

Johnny Youngblood - OF, Anchorage Bucs
Season: .122, 18 G, 8 R, 5 H, 0 2B, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 11-14 SB
Johnny Youngblood went 0-for-6 in three games this week (July 1-7) for the Anchorage Bucs.

CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE

Eric Martin - RHP, Bethesda Big Train
Season: 0-0, 3.85 ERA, 7 G, 7.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 6 K
Eric Martin allowed his first runs of the summer Sunday night (July 6). He threw 1.0 inning allowing three runs on three hits and one walk for the Bethesda Big Train.

CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

Jeff Moberg - INF, SLO Blues
Season: .267, 25 G, 17 R, 23 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 11 RBIs, 10-12 SB
Jeff Moberg posted a 3-for-5 performance including his fifth double, one RBI and two runs scored for the San Luis Obispo Blues on July 6.

Tyler Schultz - C, LA Brewers
No stats have been posted for the LA Brewers.

Tei Vanderford - RHP, SLO Blues
Season: 1-1, 1.69 ERA, 4 G, 16.0 IP, 11 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 16 K
Tei Vanderford did not log any innings this week (July 1-7) for the San Luis Obispo Blues.

CAPE COD BASEBALL LEAGUE

David Houser - C, Hyannis Harbor Hawks

David Houser appeared in two games for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks this week (July 1-7). Houser went 1-for-6 with his second double of the summer.

Vincent Jackson played in four games for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League this week (July 1-7). Jackson went 3-for-8 with two RBIs for the week. He started the week off on a great note, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs (June 29).

Drake Owenby made two appearances this week (July 1-7) and fired 2.1 shutout innings. He allowed only one hit and walked one hitter, while also recording one strikeout for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.

A.J. Simcox - SS, Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox

A.J. Simcox went 3-for-15 with two runs scored and one RBI this week (July 1-7) in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He posted a 2-for-5 with two runs scored performance to lead the Red Sox to an 8-2 victory on July 3.

Josh Peterson threw 2.0 innings allowing three runs on three hits, while striking out two for the Gastonia Grizzlies on July 4.

Derek Lance had a huge week for the Cincinnati Steam (July 1-7). He went 5-for-14 (.357) with two runs scored, one stolen base and two RBIs through three games. Lance posted an impressive 3-for-6 performance on July 5.

HAMPTONS COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE

Forrest Bramlett - C, Riverhead Tomcats

Forrest Bramlett went 2-for-7 with two RBIs this week for the Riverhead Tomcats (July 1-7).

Eric Freeman threw 1.1 shutout innings allowing one hit and striking out two through two appearances last week (July 1-7) for the Muskrats.

NORTHWOODS LEAGUE

Trevor Charpie - RHP, St. Cloud Rox
Season: 2-1, 4.79 ERA, 11 G, 1 SV, 20.2 IP, 24 H, 11 R, 11 ER, 8 BB, 23 K
Trevor Charpie made two appearances this week (July 1-7) for the St. Cloud Rox. He picked up his second win by firing 3.0 shutout innings allowing only two hits, while striking out two hitters.

USA COLLEGIATE NATIONAL TEAM

Christin Stewart - OF
Season: .362, 13 G, 11 R, 17 H, 8 2B, 2 HR, 12 RBIs, 4-5 SB
Christin Stewart played in six games this week (July 1-7) and went 3-for-19 with the USA Collegiate National Team. Stewart leads Team USA in total bases (31), slugging percentage (.660), doubles (8) and extra base hits (10).
