Miller worked in the Tennessee Sales and Marketing office for the past year, assisting with the marketing efforts for UT's baseball, women's basketball and volleyball teams. She also coordinated the Tennessee football Legend Program and planned events for Coach Phillip Fulmer's Hall of Fame Induction.
"Rachel has been a part of our athletic department for a year and I immediately noticed - through her involvement with the baseball program - her attention to detail and work ethic," said Serrano. "With Gregg (Wallis) moving on to be an assistant coach at Grand Canyon University, this opening was the perfect opportunity to make my staff stronger with organizational skills and the knowledge of campus that Rachel possesses. I think it will be a perfect fit to have her as a member of our staff."
Prior to her experience on Rocky Top, Miller served as an events coordinator at The Ohio State University, where she managed camps, clinics and gameday events for the Buckeyes' football, softball, wrestling and field hockey teams. She also served in various roles at the NCAA Championships for men's and women's basketball, fencing, rifle and men's gymnastics while in Columbus.
Miller earned her bachelor's degree in sport and leisure studies from The Ohio State University in 2012 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management from the University of Tennessee.
