MAJOR LEAGUES

J.P. Arencibia - 1B, Texas Rangers

    (Minors) Season: .279, 48 G, 31 R, 53 H, 8 2B, 14 HR, 41 RBIs
    J.P. Arencibia played in nine games over the past two weeks (August 7-20) for the Rangers. He went 3-for-28 with one double, one home run, three runs scored and four RBIs for the two week span. Arencibia went 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs on Aug. 8 while visiting the Houston Astros. He also made his pitching debut on Aug. 13, firing a scoreless inning against the Tampa Bay Rays.

    R.A. Dickey - SP, Toronto Blue Jays

    Season: 10-12, 4.08 ERA, 27 G, 169.2 IP, 162 H, 87 R, 77 ER, 61 BB, 141 K
    R.A. Dickey earned his 10th win and was handed his 12th loss of the season in three starts over the past two weeks (Aug. 7-20). He tossed 6.0 innings allowing two runs on five hits while fanning six batters against the Detroit Tigers and received a no-decision (Aug. 8). Dickey threw 6.0 innings allowing two runs on seven hits, but was hit with the loss against the Seattle Mariners (Aug. 13). He earned a win on Aug. 20, going 5.2 innings and allowing five runs on eight hits against the Milwaukee Brewers.

    Yan Gomes - C, Cleveland Indians

    Season: .285, 108 G, 52 R, 109 H, 21 2B, 1 3B, 17 HR, 53 RBIs
    Yan Gomes appeared in nine games over the past two weeks (August 7-20) for the Cleveland Indians. During the two week span, Gomes was 9-for-32 (.281) with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIS. He is hitting .319 (15-for-47) in the month of August.

    Chase Headley - 3B, New York Yankees

    Season: .235, 102 G, 36 R, 87 H, 15 2B, 1 3B, 9 HR, 40 RBIs
    Headley played in ten games the past two weeks for New York (August 7-20), hitting .235 (8-for-34) with three runs scored and two RBIs.

    Luke Hochevar - SP, Kansas City Royals

    Luke Hochevar underwent Tommy John surgery on March 18, 2014. He will miss the entire 2014 season and is expected to return for the 2015 season.

    Julio Borbon - OF, Norfolk Tides (AAA - Baltimore Orioles)

    Season: .292, 115 G, 64 R, 125 H, 8 2B, 4 3B, 5 HR, 41 RBIs
    Julio Borbon went 14-for-44 (.318) with one double, four runs scored and five RBIs through 11 games the past two weeks (August 7-20) for the Norfolk Tides. Borbon is currently riding a eight-game hitting streak in which he is 12-for-31 (.387).

    Kentrail Davis - OF, Huntsville Stars (AA - Milwaukee Brewers)

    Season: .244, 103 G, 52 R, 84 H, 22 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 36 RBIs
    Kentrail Davis played in nine games the past two weeks (August 7-20) for the Huntsville Stars. We was 4-for-24 (.167) with six runs scored and one RBI during the span.

    Matt Duffy - 3B, Oklahoma City RedHawks (AAA - Houston Astros)

    Season (AAA): .260, 76 G, 37 R, 70 H, 8 2B, 2 3B, 12 HR, 43 RBIs
    Season (AA): .302, 49 G, 23 R, 61 H, 11 2b, 1 3B, 6 HR, 35 RBIs
    Matt Duffy played in 13 games for the Oklahoma City RedHawks the past two weeks (August 7-20). He went 15-for-52 (.289) with one double, one home run and four RBIs, including a 3-for-4 with a double effort on August 10.

    Blake Forsythe - C, Midland RockHounds (AA - Oakland Athletics)

    Season: .236, 64 G, 21 R, 49 H, 11 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR, 22 RBIs
    Blake Forsythe went 7-for-23 (.304) through nine games (August 7-20) the past two weeks for the Midland RockHounds. He reached base five times on August 19, going 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs scored and one RBI.

    Zack Godley - RP, Daytona Cubs (A-Advanced - Chicago Cubs)

    Season: 3-2, 3.79 ERA, 25 G, 35.2 IP, 37 H, 20 R, 15 ER, 15 BB, 43 K
    Zack Godley made two appearance the past two weeks (August 7-20) and threw 4.0 shutout innings for the Daytona Cubs. He received two no-decisions while allowing three hits with one walk and five strikeouts in relief.

    Steven Gruver - RP, Fort Myers Miracle (A-Advanced - Minnesota Twins)

    Season: 4-6, 2.81 ERA, 40 G, 80.0 IP, 75 H, 30 R, 25 ER, 32 BB, 52 K
    Steven Gruver made three starts the past two weeks for the Fort Myers Miracle (August 7-20). He went 2-0 while tossing 15.0 innings and surrendering three earned runs on 16 hits through his three starts. All three earned runs and 10 of the hits came during one start on August 14.

    Nick Hernandez - SP, Winnipeg Goldeyes (Independent - American Association)

    Season: 10-2, 3.34 ERA, 17 G, 105.0 IP, 106 H, 47 R, 39 ER, 19 BB, 84 K
    Nick Hernandez earned the win in each of his two starts for Winnipeg the past two weeks (August 7-20). Over 15.0 collective innings, he allowed four earned runs and struck out 11 batters. With the wins, Hernandez improved to 10-2 with a 3.34 ERA on the season.

    Will Maddox - 3B, Connecticut Tigers (A-Short Season - Detroit Tigers)

    Season: .290, 37 G, 21 R, 38 H, 6 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 7 RBIs, 12-13 SB
    Will Maddox played in 12 games the past two weeks with the Connecticut Tigers (August 7-20). He went 17-for-49 (.347) with three doubles, one triple, five RBIs and five stolen bases during that span, including back-to-back-to-back-to-back multi-hit efforts.

    Khayyan Norfork - 3B, Potomac Nationals (A-Advanced - Washington Nationals)

    Season: .264, 90 G, 48 R, 81 H, 18 2B, 5 3B, 2 HR, 35 RBIs
    Khayyan Norfork went 10-for-22 (.455) with two doubles, 10 runs scored and 3 RBIs in nine games the past two weeks (August 7-20) with the Potomac Nationals.

    Zach Osborne - SS, Asheville Tourists (A - Colorado Rockies)

    Season: .273, 61 G, 27 R, 56 H, 10 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 21 RBIs
    Zach Osborne appeared in eight games with the Asheville Tourists (August 7-20). He went 6-for-29 (.207) with a homer, one double and two RBIs.

    Scott Price - 1B, San Jose Giants (A-Advanced - San Francisco Giants)

    Season (R): .275, 21 G, 12 R, 19 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 10 RBIs
    Season (A-Adv): .125, 3 G, 1 R, 1 H, 1 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 0 RBIs

    Scott Price was promoted to San Francisco's Class A Augusta GreenJackets this week. In his debut with Augusta on August 13, Price went 2-for-6 with a triple and one run scored in the team's double-header.

    Matt Ramsey - RP, Jacksonville Suns (AA - Miami Marlins)

    Season: 3-2, 1.62 ERA, 39 G, 12 SV, 55.2 IP, 33 H, 16 R, 10 ER, 30 BB, 77 K
    Matt Ramsey made five relief appearances the past two weeks (August 7-20) for Jacksonville. He fired 8.1 innings allowing five earned runs on eight hits, while striking out 11 batters.

    Taylor Smart - SS, Everett AquaSox (A-Short Season - Seattle Mariners)

    Season: .220, 44 G, 11 R, 31 H, 4 2B, 0 HR, 12 RBIs
    Taylor Smart appeared in seven games over the past two weeks (August 7-20) with the Everett AquaSox. He went 3-for-23 (.130) with two doubles and three RBIs.

    Nick Williams - SP, GCL Marlins (Rookie - Miami Marlins)

    Season: 3-5, 3.96 ERA, 11 G, 38.2 IP, 36 H, 19 R, 17 ER, 15 BB, 27 K
    Nick Williams earned a win in each of his three appearances the past two weeks for the Marlins (August 7-20). He started on August 7, allowing three runs on four hits through 5.0 innings to pick up his first professional win. Williams made two relief appearances (Aug. 12, 19), allowing only one earned run through 9.2 innings of work to earn two more wins.
