The October Classic is rapidly approaching. With that in mind, several former Vols are fighting to keep their respective teams in the hunt for a championship. Todd Helton, James Adkins, Nick Hernandez and Danny Wiltz all had sterling performances this last week of August.

With the Rockies in the middle of the National League Wild Card melee, no time is better than the present for Todd Helton's (1993-95) bat in the lineup. The former Vol slugger belted a .320 average from the plate this week as the Rockies maintain their lead in the NL Wild Card standings. Helton's offensive production included a homerun, four RBI and three runs.
