J.P. Arencibia - 1B, Texas Rangers

    (Minors) Season: .279, 48 G, 31 R, 53 H, 8 2B, 14 HR, 41 RBIs
    J.P. Arencibia played in four games this week (August 21-17) for the Rangers. He went 2-for-15 with one RBI the week.

    R.A. Dickey - SP, Toronto Blue Jays

    Season: 10-12, 4.00 ERA, 28 G, 175.2 IP, 167 H, 90 R, 78 ER, 63 BB, 147 K
    R.A. Dickey received a no-decision in his only start this week for the Blue Jays (Aug. 26). He tossed 6.0 innings allowing one earned run on five hits while fanning six batters against the Boston Red Sox.

    Yan Gomes - C, Cleveland Indians

    Season: .284, 109 G, 52 R, 109 H, 21 2B, 1 3B, 17 HR, 53 RBIs
    Yan Gomes appeared in one game over the past week (August 21) for the Cleveland Indians. Gomes went 0-for-2 against the Minnesota Twins. He was placed on concussion DL by the Indians on August 23. Gomes will be eligible to be activated on Friday (Aug. 29).

    Chase Headley - 3B, New York Yankees

    Chase Headley played in seven games this week for New York (August 21-27). He went 5-for-21 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs. Headley led the Yankees to a victory last night by going 2-for-3 with a walk.

    Luke Hochevar - SP, Kansas City Royals

    Luke Hochevar underwent Tommy John surgery on March 18, 2014. He will miss the entire 2014 season and is expected to return for the 2015 season.

    Julio Borbon - OF, Norfolk Tides (AAA - Baltimore Orioles)

    Season: .289, 121 G, 67 R, 131 H, 9 2B, 4 3B, 5 HR, 44 RBIs
    Julio Borbon went 6-for-26 with one double, three runs scored and three RBIs through six games this week (August 21-27) for the Norfolk Tides. Borbon saw his nine-game hitting streak come to an end on August 22. He began a new hitting-streak the next day and is now riding a four-game streak (Aug. 23-27).

    Kentrail Davis - OF, Huntsville Stars (AA - Milwaukee Brewers)

    Season: .245, 108 G, 53 R, 88 H, 23 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 37 RBIs
    Kentrail Davis played in five games this week (August 21-27) for the Huntsville Stars. Davis went 4-for-15 (.267) with one double, one run scored and one RBI.

    Matt Duffy - 3B, Oklahoma City RedHawks (AAA - Houston Astros)

    Season (AAA): .282, 83 G, 46 R, 84 H, 11 2B, 3 3B, 12 HR, 48 RBIs
    Season (AA): .302, 49 G, 23 R, 61 H, 11 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR, 35 RBIs
    Matt Duffy played in seven games for the Oklahoma City RedHawks this week (August 21-27). He went 14-for-29 (.483) with three doubles, one triple, nine runs scored and five RBIs. Duffy's week included five multi-hit efforts, highlighted by a 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs effort on August 26.

    Blake Forsythe - C, Midland RockHounds (AA - Oakland Athletics)

    Season: .231, 70 G, 25 R, 52 H, 12 2B, 1 3B, 5 HR, 25 RBIs
    Blake Forsythe went 3-for-17 with a double, a homer, four runs scored and three RBIs through six games (August 21-27) this week for the Midland RockHounds. He went 1-for-3 with a homer on August 24.

    Zack Godley - RP, Daytona Cubs (A-Advanced - Chicago Cubs)

    Season: 3-2, 3.69 ERA, 28 G, 39.0 IP, 39 H, 21 R, 16 ER, 16 BB, 50 K
    Zack Godley made three appearances this week (August 21-27) and threw 3.1 innings for the Daytona Cubs. He allowed one run on two hits with one walk and seven strikeouts in relief.

    Steven Gruver - RP, Fort Myers Miracle (A-Advanced - Minnesota Twins)

    Season: 4-6, 2.86 ERA, 41 G, 85.0 IP, 80 H, 32 R, 27 ER, 33 BB, 56 K
    Steven Gruver made one starts this week for the Fort Myers Miracle (August 26). He received a no-decision after going 5.0 innings, surrendering two earned runs on five hits while striking out four hitters.

    Nick Hernandez - SP, Winnipeg Goldeyes (Independent - American Association)

    Season: 11-2, 3.13 ERA, 18 G, 112.0 IP, 111 H, 47 R, 39 ER, 20 BB, 88 K
    Nick Hernandez earned his 11th win in his lone start for Winnipeg this week (August 22). He fired 7.0 shutout innings, allowing five hits while striking out four hitters.

    Will Maddox - 3B, Connecticut Tigers (A-Short Season - Detroit Tigers)

    Season: .278, 43 G, 22 R, 44 H, 6 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 11 RBIs, 13-14 SB
    Will Maddox played in six games this week with the Connecticut Tigers (August 21-27). He went 6-for-27 with one run scored and four RBIs on the week.

    Khayyan Norfork - 3B, Potomac Nationals (A-Advanced - Washington Nationals)

    Season: .262, 96 G, 50 R, 85 H, 19 2B, 5 3B, 2 HR, 35 RBIs
    Khayyan Norfork went 4-for-17 with a double and two runs scored in six games this week (August 21-27) with the Potomac Nationals. Norfork went 2-for-4 with a run scored on August 26.

    Zach Osborne - SS, Asheville Tourists (A - Colorado Rockies)

    Zach Osborne appeared in four games with the Asheville Tourists (August 21-27). He went 4-for-16 with a double, one run scored and two RBIs.

    Scott Price played in four games for the Augusta GreenJackets this week (August 21-27). Price had a week to remember, going 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles, three runs scored and one RBI. He recorded multiple hits in all four of his games this week.

    Matt Ramsey - RP, Jacksonville Suns (AA - Miami Marlins)

    Season: 3-2, 1.52 ERA, 42 G, 14 SV, 59.1 IP, 35 H, 16 R, 10 ER, 30 BB, 78 K
    Matt Ramsey made three relief appearances this week (August 21-27) for Jacksonville. He fired 3.2 shutout innings, allowing only two hits while recording one strikeout.

    Taylor Smart - SS, Everett AquaSox (A-Short Season - Seattle Mariners)

    Season: .220, 44 G, 11 R, 31 H, 4 2B, 0 HR, 12 RBIs
    Taylor Smart did not appear in any games this week (August 21-27) with the Everett AquaSox.

    Nick Williams - SP, GCL Marlins (Rookie - Miami Marlins)

    Season: 4-5, 3.92 ERA, 12 G, 43.2 IP, 41 H, 22 R, 19 ER, 16 BB, 27 K
    Nick Williams earned his fourth win in his lone appearances this week for the Marlins (August 21-27). On August 25, Williams received the win in relief, allowing two earned runs on five hits through 5.0 innings.
