The 2014 baseball season in Knoxville kicks off with the Tennessee Baseball Leadoff BBQ at Thompson-Boling Arena on Thursday, Jan. 16, where the Vols will officially induct former UT standout and Major Leaguer Chris Burke as the 19th member of the Tennessee Baseball Hall of Fame.

The preseason event gives fans and alumni a chance to show their support of the team as it gets the 2014 campaign underway. Fans will have a chance to see the squad early and often in 2014, as head coach Dave Serrano and the Vols officially open their season on Friday, Feb. 14 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium against Nebraska-Omaha. UT will welcome the Mavericks and Purdue to Rocky Top for three straight days of doubleheader action from Feb. 14-16, signaling the start of a 13-game homestand.
