"First of all, I would like to thank the fans. They were unbelievable. We had nearly 20,000 fans who came out and really support the Big Orange. I'm sorry we let them down tonight.

"Give credit to Florida, an experienced basketball team and very efficient on the offensive end. They outrebounded us early and got some run-outs in the first half. That was something that we couldn't allow happen. In the start of the second half, they did a good job of going to (Alex) Tyus and (Vernon) Macklin down low. Our bigs didn't do a good job. Our emphasis was to keep it out of the bigs' hands. Obviously, it's two-fold. Our guards have got to keep pressure on the basketball and not allow those easy post entries, something that we didn't do.

"Tobias (Harris), again, another double-double. That's three straight double-doubles for Tobias. The young freshman is really playing consistent basketball for us.

"We had an opportunity to win the basketball game at the end of regulation. We called a play called 12 Up trying to get Scotty (Hopson) the basketball and for him to make a play. We did a good job of catching it, sweeping it, and making a play. He got the ball to Brian (Williams) and Brian was close to the basket. I don't know if it was Macklin or Tyus or one of those guys who made a really good defensive play and blocked the shot. Our guys did a good job of not allowing the win in regulation. They did a good job of assignment basketball. I think it was (Erving) Walker who didn't get off a good shot. In overtime, we missed a shot early. Scotty missed a close bank shot early.

"These guys are great basketball players. They have confidence in their ability. As a coaching staff, we've got to do a better job of putting them in better positions to score. On the flip side, we've got to have a better effort defensively. Teams coming in shooting 50 percent in halves is not a formula to win basketball games. One or two or three or four games are not going to define us. It's a marathon, not a sprint. I fully anticipate our guys bouncing back on Saturday.

"Florida made plays in overtime. Scotty missed the bank shot to put us up 2 to start the overtime and then they come down and I don't know if it was a 2 or a 3 they made to take the lead. Nine times out of 10, you can check the stats, the first person that scores in overtime usually is victorious.

"Obviously, Cameron (Tatum) has got a lot of pride. He's one of our main players. His mind-set tonight was to score the basketball, and he did that. I'm happy for Cameron tonight."

"It's a 16-game league schedule and certainly any win on the road is valuable. The most important thing for us is we are 2-0. It's very early in the conference season. For us, anything more than going one game at a time in the division - our Eastern Division is so difficult, so challenging with so many good teams. It's one game, one win.

"We will have the opportunity to play them again later in the conference schedule. And I think victories like this, although they are great, are short-lived. We have a game coming back Saturday against a South Carolina team that beat a terrific Vanderbilt team.

"We will enjoy the win tonight. It was a great win, and our guys did a good job - they battled and fought. I thought we really had some great opportunities to win it in regulation, but I give our guys credit. They hung in there and made some plays, which I thought showed some toughness."
