The Tennessee athletic department, in partnership with UNITE, is hosting a men's basketball pep rally for UT students Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Serving as a spirit primer before Saturday's SEC home-opener against Texas A&M (6 p.m. ET, FOX Sports Net), the event will feature free food, entertainment and door prizes.
At 9 p.m., the team - along with the Pride of the Southland pep band and spirit squad - will welcome students through the gates. The first 250 students to arrive will receive a free t-shirt. The Vols will address the crowd around 9:30 p.m.
Students who stay until the conclusion of the event will receive a wristband for early admission to Saturday's game. And eight lucky students will win front-row seats courtesy of Coke Zero.
The pep rally also will feature locker room tours, promotions and contests on the court.
