Before fans pack Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday for ESPN College GameDay prior to the Vols' noon contest against in-state rival Vanderbilt, UT students will be packing their overnight bags for a Friday-night sleepover at The Summitt.
On Friday, UT students are invited to reserve their seat at Thompson-Boling Arena by attending the second annual all-night campout. Students who attend will receive early admission to Saturday's noon tilt between the Vols and the Commodores.
Students will be permitted to line up at the student gate at 5 p.m. Gates will open for one hour starting at 9 p.m., and the first 600 students will be allowed to camp out. The athletics department will provide free food, video game challenges, raffles, offer behind-the-scenes tours and a movie will be shown on the video board.
The first 450 students to enter will receive a free t-shirt provided by UniTe, an alumni organization.
ESPN College GameDay is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday leading up to the Vols' matchup with Vanderbilt. The Lady Vols play the second half of Saturday's doubleheader when they take on Vanderbilt at 8 p.m.
