The Tennessee Volunteers basketball team arrived in Dayton, Ohio, Wednesday in preparation for Friday afternoon's first round NCAA Tournament game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Tipoff is set for 12:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Vols made the 300-mile trip via charter bus and are actually staying in Fairborn, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, just 10 miles from the University of Dayton Arena where the games will be played.
After practice in Knoxville, the Vols hit the hardwood tonight for a light workout on the campus of Wright State. Tennessee has an open practice session Thursday from noon to 12:40 at UD Arena. ETSU practices from 12:45-1:25 p.m., Oklahoma State from 1:30-2:10 p.m. and Pittsburgh from 2:15-2:55 p.m. Louisville, Ohio State, Morehead State and Siena will hold 40-minute practice sessions beginning at 4:25 p.m.
But before Thursday's practice, the Vols meet the media at the pre-tournament press conference. UT's student-athletes open their day at 11:20 a.m. at the press conference followed by Coach Bruce Pearl at 11:35 a.m.
The Vols have an optional pregame practice on Friday at 8 a.m., with doors opening to the public 1 ½ hours prior to tipoff of the first game.
