Sept. 17, 2013
Tennessee announced TV designations and tipoff times for several men's basketball games Tuesday.
The 2013-14 season-opening tilt at Xavier Nov. 12 is set for a 9 p.m. ET tipoff and marks Tennessee's first-ever appearance on Fox Sports 1.
The Volunteers' home-opener against USC Upstate on Nov. 16 will tip off at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised regionally on SportSouth.
Home games against The Citadel and Tennessee State on Nov. 16 and 18, respectively, both will tip at 7 p.m. ET and will be shown regionally on Fox Sports Net.
Tennessee's home clash with Tennessee Tech on Dec. 7 tips at noon ET and can be viewed regionally on Fox Sports Net.
The Vols host Virginia Dec. 7. That contest will tip off at 7 p.m. ET and will be shown nationally on ESPN2 - ensuring that the Big Orange will play at least 18 regular-season games on national TV.
The tip time for Tennessee's Nov. 2 exhibition game against Florida Southern will depend on the start time for that day's Vol football game at Missouri.
Neither exhibition game, nor the Vols' Jan. 4 home game against Tusculum College (2 p.m. ET), will be televised. However, those contests all will be streamed live on UTsports.com.
