Coach Pearl visits with UT students

When the University of Tennessee basketball teams tip-off the season next week, there will be a lot of activities for the entire family.

The men's team takes the court on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. against LeMoyne-Owen. Kids in costume under age 12 will receive free admission. Tickets are available for pick-up two hours prior to tip-off in the ticket office, and the child must be present. Gates will open at 6 p.m., and pre-game festivities will include trick-or-treating and an autograph opportunity with the Lady Vols basketball team. Other festivities for the evening will include a costume contest and a 3-point contest between members of the women's basketball team during halftime.

The Lady Vols open the season Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. against Carson Newman. Gates will open at 6 p.m. Festivities for the night include a pre-game autograph session with the men's basketball team and a 3-point contest between members of the men's basketball team during halftime. Kids 12 and under are free. Tickets are available for pick-up two hours prior to tip-off in the ticket office, and the child must be present.

Parking for both games is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be purchased online, over the phone by calling (865) 656-1200 or at the UT Ticket Office, located at Thompson-Boling Arena, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m. EST.
