University of Tennessee Head Basketball Coach Bruce Pearl and members of the basketball team visited University of Tennessee Medical Center's Cancer Institute earlier today.

"It's important that those who are blessed give back. Our guys are out of class right now, so this was a great opportunity for them to come visit the patients," said Pearl. "University of Tennessee Medical Center's Cancer Institute has a special meaning to us. Cancer is treatable and with proper detection and proper care, we can beat this."

OUTLIVE 2009 raised more than $93,000 and helped the University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Institute provide more than 2,500 free cancer screenings throughout East Tennessee. The OUTLIVE 2010 "Orange Out" is scheduled for the Vols match-up against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, February 27 at noon.

The OUTLIVE t-shirts will go on sale in early January. All proceeds directly benefit UT Medical Center's Cancer Institute.
