CHEERLEADERS SMITH AND BLACK NAMED ALL-AMERICAN

Inside Cheerleading Magazine named
Lindsay Smith and Jeremy Black to All-American Team

Inside Cheerleading magazine named junior Lindsay Smith (Memphis, Tenn.) and senior Jeremy Black (Bessemer/McCalla, Ala.) to its third annual IC Collegiate All-American team. Smith earned Head of the Class honors along with two other student-athletes, the top honor given out by the magazine.

The editorial team at Inside Cheerleading attended games, competitions and events across the country and selected a group of collegiate cheerleaders who stand out in terms of enthusiasm, athleticism, repertoire of skills, crowd-leading ability, spirit and overall personality.

Smith was noted to posess one of the best in the country with baskets, including a sky-high Arabian-in, full-out; Pike-split full and a Arabian Bird front.

Smith injured her arm five hours before competition, made it to the hospital to get a brace put on it and returned to complete, performing all of her elements. In addition to appearing on the cover of the Inside Cheerleading magazine cover, Smith is also featured on the cover of this year's UCA College Championship program.

Black was noted for his rewinds as well as all of his one-arm stunts. Black was named captain of the Tennessee squad for the second year, an honor not often bestowed. Black is a four-year member of the cheerleading squad.

Senior Amanda Goodwin was honored last year on the IC Collegiate All-American Team.
