Bill Pearman
1951
Tackle
Charlotte, N.C.

Bill Pearman was one of four All-America selections from Tennessee's 1951 consensus national championship team.

The two-year starter at right defensive tackle helped the Vol stop troops hold their opponents to 116 points during the 1951 season. Tennessee's defense pitched five shutouts in 10 games during the undefeated regular season and helped the Vols hold a No. 1 ranking for six weeks, including the final poll, heading into the Sugar Bowl.

Tennessee was a combined 33-9-1 with Pearman in uniform, 28 of those wins coming in the final three years of his career. His playing days on The Hill were the first three years Tennessee fielded separate offensive and defensive teams.
