- Returns to Tennessee, where he started 39 games career games on offensive line from 2005-08
- Named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press in 2007
- Honored as a first-team All-SEC offensive lineman in 2007 by both league coaches and the Associated Press and a second-team selection in 2008
- Spent the last two years as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State (2011-12)
- Broke into the coaching ranks as a graduate assistant in 2009-10 at Morgan State
- Started 32 games at right guard, six at left guard and one at center with the Vols
- Helped Tennessee to the fewest sacks allowed in 2007, just four allowed
- Played in the 2009 Senior Bowl and competed in the 2009 NFL Combine
