      Tee Martin
Position:
Quarterback

Tee Martin, a junior in 1998, came to Tennessee from Mobile, Ala., and spent two seasons as backup to Peyton Manning. When he finally got his chance, he had a season for the ages and led the Vols to the BCS National Championship.

Martin's numbers from the national championship season are impressive. He completed 57.3 percent of his passes and threw for 2,164 yards. He tossed 19 touchdown passes against only six picks.

His career numbers include 326 completions, 4,592 passing yards and 32 touchdowns. He holds school records for completion percentage in a game as well as for consecutive completions in a game and in a season. He is sixth on Tennessee's career passing list, and his 2,317 yards from the 1999 campaign rank 10th on the school's single-season list.

Martin is perhaps best known for one pass in one game. His 79-yard strike to Peerless Price in the fourth quarter of the 1999 Fiesta Bowl vs. Florida State put the Vols up 20-7 and helped put the Seminoles away, securing the national crown for the Vols.
