Walker, from Waltersboro N.C, was a junior captain of the 1998 national championship team. He posted 46 tackles and six sacks for a defense that gave up less than 100 yards rushing per game during the Vols' run to the national title. He was named All-SEC by the Associated Press following the season.
Choosing to leave Rocky Top a year early proved to be the right decision as Walker has enjoyed a long NFL career. Currently in his 10th season in the league, Walker has played for the Cardinals, Eagles, Bears and Panthers. He was an integral part of the Eagles' 2004 run to Super Bowl XXIX, posting 29 tackles and 4.5 sacks while starting every game at defensive tackle.
