- Member of state champion high school 8-man a cappella singing group called "Backbeat," as well as an elite large choir group
- "Backbeat" toured twice in New York City and once in Toronto
- Has appeared in brief acting roles on Fox, PBS and VH1
- Also played on competitive dodgeball team through his junior year of high school
