For the Record
• Orange Team Captains: Carson Anderson, Willie Bohannon, Herman Lathers.
• White Team Captains: Tyler Bray, Zach Rogers, Prentiss Waggner, Marsalis Teague.
• The Orange won the pre-game coin toss and elected to receive.
• After the setback, the White now maintains a 25-24 advantage in the series. There have been three ties.
• The White entered the game on a six-game winning streak (2006-present) and saw that spree come to an end.

• Andy Spiva Defensive Surprise Award: Gregory Clark, Steven Fowlkes.
• Big Lick Award: Herman Lathers, Jacques Smith, Da'Rick Rogers, Brendan Downs.

Orange Scoring Surge
• With a TD and PAT on its first drive, the Orange matched its scoring output of seven points in the past two Orange & White Spring Games. By halftime, the Orange had matched its total for the past two years combined with 14.
• The 17 points by the Orange were the most since that squad put up 60 in 2005.
• The 14 points tallied by the White were the fewest that team has registered since 2003.

The Offense

Signal Callers
Tyler Bray got the start at quarterback for the White.
• Bray was 7-14 in the first half for 101 yards and finished 14 of 26 for 157 yards and one touchdown.
Justin Worley drew the starting nod at QB for the Orange and led his squad to a 14-7 advantage at the half and to a 17-14 victory.
• Worley was 11-18 in the first half for 109 yards, with an interception, and finished 17 of 26 for 143 yards and the sole INT.
Tyler Page saw duty under center in the fourth quarter for the Orange.

Passing Game
• A 51-yard pass from Tyler Bray to Da'Rick Rogers helped set the White up for a short touchdown run by Rajion Neal on its first series.
• True freshman Cody Blanc of Knoxville's Central High School had a 17-yard catch for the White in the second stanza and finished with three receptions for 38 yards as the White squad's second-leading receiver.
Tyler Bray hit Mychal Rivera for a one-yard touchdown to help the White knot the score at 14 in the third quarter.
• Sophomore wide receiver Jacob Carter capped off an impressive spring, hauling in a game-high six balls for 42 yards for the Orange.

Running Game
• Marlin Lane got the Orange on the board first with a 19-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
• Lane added a 39-yard TD ramble as time expired in the first half to put the Orange on top, 14-7, after the PAT from Derrick Brodus.
• By halftime, Lane had 103 yards rushing and two TDs on only seven carries.
Rajion Neal and the White squad responded to the Orange's score on their first series of the game, as Neal punched it into the end zone from one yard out.

The Defense

Making Plays
• White defensive back Geraldo Orta recovered Tom Smith's first-quarter fumble.
• White nose tackle Allan Carson recorded a sack of Justin Worley in the first quarter.
• Orange linebacker Dontavis Sapp's second-quarter hit of Da'Rick Rogers forced a fumble that Brian Randolph recovered.
• White linebacker John Propst intercepted Justin Worley and had a 25-yard return.
• On the White's final drive, Willie Bohannon of the Orange sacked Tyler Bray for a five-yard loss.
• Orange cornerback Justin Coleman was the leading tackler at the half with seven stops and finished with a game-high nine, six of them solo.
• The Orange had four pass break-ups, getting them from Brian Randolph, Dontavis Sapp, Izauea Lanier and Byron Moore. The White's Jaron Toney and Marsalis Teague recorded PBUs.

Special Teams

Odds & Ends
• Marlin Lane returned the opening kickoff 43 yards for the Orange and had a 31-yard return in the third period.
Michael Palardy was the kicker for the White and was 2 of 2 on PATs.
• Palardy also served as punter for the White and had a 35.0 average.
Derrick Brodus handled kicking chores for the Orange and was 2 of 2 on PATs and nailed a 37-yard field goal to put his squad up 17-14 as the fourth quarter got under way.
• Brodus missed a 27-yard field goal with 2:05 remaining in the contest.
Michael Palardy missed an opportunity to put the White on top heading into the locker room at the half, as his 32-yard attempt failed.
Matt Darr punted for the Orange, hitting one for 37 yards.
