The 10 tackle effort marked Johnson's 16th career double-digit tackle game and his third of the season.
RAJION RACKS IT UP Senior running back Rajion Neal finished the game vs. Alabama with 13 rushes for 70 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 13 yards.
With a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Rajion Neal became the first true-offensive player to score a touchdown vs. Alabama since 2010.
Last season, A.J. Johnson came in the game in the Beast Package to score the Vols' only TD of the game.
The last offensive player to record a TD against Alabama was Tauren Poole on a 59-yard run to begin the game in 2010.
The touchdown was also the first TD allowed by Alabama at home this season and Neal's ninth of the year.
ENTER DOBBS Joshua Dobbs came into the game for the Vols in the second half becoming the 15th true freshman to play this season for Tennessee.
Dobbs is also the third true freshmen quarterback to play in the last four years.

BIG-TIME PLAYS Marquez North's 38-yard catch in the first quarter was the longest against Alabama in the last four weeks since a 38-yard grab by Laquon Treadwell from Bo Wallace (Ole Miss, 9/28/13).
Later in the first half, Cody Blanc reeled in a huge 43-yard grab on 3rd and 20 for the Vols, to put Tennessee in Alabama territory.
Not only was the grab huge in distance, it was the first career catch for Blanc.
Rajion Neal added a big run against Alabama to start off the second half, a 43-yard carry, tying for the third-longest of his career.

PALARDY HANDLING ALL OF THE CHORES Senior Michael Palardy continues to handle all of Tennessee's punting and kicking chores.
Palardy got the Vols on the scoreboard for the first time of the day with a 37-yard field goal early in the second half.
The field goal marked the third consecutive game that Palardy was the first Tennessee player to put points on the board for the Vols against Alabama.
The senior now is 9-of-11 on the season and 32-of-43 in his career for field goals.
In PATs, Palardy was one of one on the day, improving to 28 of 28 this season and 103 of 108 for his career.
On five punts, Palardy averaged 46.2 yards per attempt and placed three inside the 20, running his total to 11 on the season and 28 for his career.
Palardy now has ten punts of 50 yards or more this season
10 of Palardy's punts have now landed inside the 10-yard line, 18 inside the 20 yard line.
DEVRIN RETURNS IT Devrin Young finished the day against Alabama with five kick returns for a career-high 146 yards.
Heading into the game Young had 840 kickoff return yards, which ranked 10th all-time in the UT record books.
With his 146 yards he now has 986, eighth all-time, passing Anthony Morgan.
