Johnathon Johnson made his first career start at wide receiver while Joshua Dobbs became just the eighth true freshman to start at quarterback in Tennessee history.
• With Dobbs starting at quarterback, Tennessee became the eighth team in FBS football to start three or more quarterbacks this season.


Joshua Dobbs made his first career start at Missouri on Saturday night.
• Dobbs finished the night with 26-of-42 passing for 240 yards while also rushing for 45 yards on seven carries.
• One of Dobbs' rushes went for 33 yards down the far side of the field, the longest by a Tennessee true quarterback this season and longest since Tee Martin rushed for 38 yards vs. Notre Dame on Nov. 6, 1999. A game UT won 38-14.
• Dobbs' 26 completions were the most by a true freshman in his first start in Tennessee history besting Tyler Bray's 18 vs. Memphis in 2010.
• His 42 attempts were the most by a true freshman in his debut besting Erik Ainge's 35 vs. Auburn in 2004.


• Sophomore WR Pig Howard caught 11 passes on the night for the Vols for 89
• His 11 catches were a career high, besting his eight against South Carolina earlier this season (Oct. 19)
• Howard became the first Vol since Mychal Rivera to have 10 catches in a game. Rivera achieved the feat last season against Missouri (Nov. 10, 2012 in a 4OT game, 10 rec. 129 yds. 1 TD)
• Howard's 11 catches were the most since Kelley Washington had 11 vs. LSU on Sept. 29, 2001. The 11 catches, tied for the fifth-most in a game in Tennessee history.


• Linebacker A.J. Johnson recorded 11 tackles against Missouri Saturday.
• Five of Johnson's tackles vs. Bama were assists, running his career total to 155, fourth all-time.
• The 11 tackle effort marked Johnson's 17th career double-digit tackle game and his fourth of the season. With his 10 tackle effort last week against Alabama, it marked the first time this season that Johnson has had back-to-back 10 tackle games.


• Senior Michael Palardy continues to handle all of Tennessee's punting and kicking chores.
• Palardy got the Vols on the scoreboard for the first time of the day with a 51-yard field goal in the second quarter.
• The senior now is 10-of-12 on the season and 33-of-44 in his career for field goals.
• In PATs, Palardy was one of one on the day, improving to 28 of 28 this season and 103 of 108 for his career.
• On seven punts, Palardy averaged 42.7 yards per attempt and placed three inside the 20.
• Palardy now has 12 punts of 50 yards or more this season
• 12 of Palardy's punts have now landed inside the 10-yard line, 23 inside the 20 yard line.


Devrin Young finished the day against Missouri with four kick returns for 90 yards.
• With a 29-yard return in the second quarter, Young went over 1,000 kick return yards in his Tennessee career.
