"I thought it was very important for us to set the foundation from which we were going to compete in recruiting. I am very proud of our staff, especially the turning around of Marsalous Teague, who previously was committed to Florida, and especially for going into Pahokee, Fla., and getting Nu'Keese Richardson, who is one of the best players from the state of Florida.

"I think in years to come, we will set a foundation and a standard for the way we're going to recruit and create relationships. After only having three weeks with a complete staff, you could see toward the end of recruiting that some of the top players were being attracted to Tennessee and they really loved their visits. We just didn't have enough time to solidify all of them.

"We already have started junior recruiting and our goal is to have one of the top classes in the nation next year."
