1. Why did you choose to come to Tennessee?
I think that Tennessee is one of the top five schools in the nation. It has tremendous resources. We can recruit a national championship team here. My relationship with Lane Kiffin, my ability to work under Monte Kiffin, the support of the Athletic Director and the opportunity to win a national championship made the decision for me.
2. What has the transition to UT been like?
It's been early in the morning to work, late at night back to my hotel, and back doing the same thing the next day - it's been fantastic. The reception has been wonderful. I love how fans and former players have welcomed Coach Kiffin and our entire staff. I like the way the players have received the coaching staff's attitude towards work and we're excited for spring ball.
3. What does Spring Practice mean to you?
Spring practice means getting better. It's like building a house, like building the foundation. You want to make sure the foundation is solid and that's what we are going to do. Obviously there are going to be some things we do really well and some things that we fix, that's what spring ball is for.
4. What has your impression of Knoxville been so far?
Knoxville is beautiful. Right next to the Smokey Mountains, nice neighborhoods, great restaurants, great people, I'm looking forward to seeing it one day.
5. What do you think is the #1 reason recruits choose Tennessee?
I think recruits will choose Tennessee because they are going to see a fantastic place, an opportunity for a great education, the chance to play in the SEC and to be coached by probably the best coaching staff in America.
6. How is recruiting at Tennessee different from Southern Cal?
I think it is very similar to the way we recruited at Southern Cal in that we are able to target the best players in America and we are able to sell one of the best Universities in America and it's very similar.
7. What are you looking forward to most about this new opportunity?
