The University of Tennessee announced Thursday that ticket distribution for Saturday's Dish Network Orange and White Game has surpassed the 30,000 mark, making it the largest pre-sale in school history and setting the stage for the 2009 game to be UT's second largest spring game crowd.

The Vols all-time record spring mark of 73,801 was set in 1986. Since that time, the next largest crowds have been 31,500 in 1988 and 28,898 last year. With a record pre-sale and clear weather predicted for Saturday, those marks seem in jeopardy of being surpassed.

Saturday's activities begin with Fans Day at Haslam Field, including an autograph session with the team from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The first 7,500 at Fans Day receive a free fan pac.

"There is a lot of excitement around the new coaching staff, and this gives our fans the opportunity to get a sneak peak of what's to come in the fall," said men's athletic director Mike Hamilton.

The DISH Network Orange and White game kicks off at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 and all UT students are admitted free with a valid UT ID. Net proceeds from Orange and White Game tickets are being donated to the John C. Hodges Library on the University of Tennessee-Knoxville campus. Tickets can be purchased on Friday at the UT Ticket Office from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. They also may be purchased online at UTsports.com.

Following Fans Day, the team takes the Vol Walk to Neyland Stadium at 1:30 p.m. Because of construction, the route for the Vol Walk has been altered. It begins at the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex, proceeding to the torchbearer and continuing to Andy Holt Avenue. The team will turn right on Phillip Fulmer Way and enter the stadium at Gate 21.

Tickets the day of the event are being sold at Thompson-Boling Arena from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and at Gates 10 and 21 at Neyland Stadium beginning at noon. Will call will be available at Thompson-Boling Arena from 10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and at Gate 21 after noon. Entrance gates are 2, 4, 6, 10, 21, 23 and 26. Free parking is available in the G-3, G-4 and G-5 parking lots off Lake Loudoun Avenue, the 11th Street Garage and the G-10 Garage off Neyland Drive.

Fans who ordered the Vol Pack can pick up their "Camp Kiffin" T-shirt and poster at the Brenda Lawson Athletic Center, located at 1551 Lake Loudoun Blvd. (corner of Chamique Holdsclaw and Lake Loudoun Blvd.) today before 6 p.m., Friday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. or Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Haslam Field.

The Vol Network broadcast of Saturday's game is available on XM Channel 242 and Sirius Channel 213. SportSouth is airing the delayed telecast Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Vol Radio Network play-by-play announcer Bob Kesling will be joined by analyst Tim Priest and sideline reporter Mike Stowell in simulcasting both broadcasts.

Each week during the football season, SportSouth will televise The Lane Kiffin Show on Sundays at noon and 6:30 p.m. Eastern, and football replay games on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. Eastern and Mondays at noon. UT football coverage on SportSouth kicks off Sept. 6 with an encore presentation of the Volunteers' season opener against Western Kentucky.
