PLAYER SPOTLIGHTWill Overstreet Defensive End (1998-2001)
Will Overstreet. . native of Jackson, Miss., played four seasons for the Vols (1998-2001), serving as a captain in 2001. Overstreet, a two-time All-SEC First Team selection in 2000 and 2001, played in 47 games for the Vols, starting 33. Overstreet amassed 146 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 19 sacks on Rocky Top. His 49 quarterback hurries still sit atop the Tennessee record book in the category. Overstreet was also named an Academic All-American in 2001, while making the SEC Academic Honor Roll from 1999-2001. Overstreet was selected in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft with the 80th overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons and played two seasons. He founded and is the CEO of Knoxville-based Voices Heard Media, Inc.
