His 49 quarterback hurries still sit atop the Tennessee record book in the category. Overstreet was also named an Academic All-American in 2001, while making the SEC Academic Honor Roll from 1999-2001. Overstreet was selected in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft with the 80th overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons and played two seasons.
