The Oakland Raiders officially signed Michael Palardy on Thursday. The kicker/punter will be the fifth former Vol on the Oakland roster, playing under fellow VFL, general manager Reggie McKenzie.

The left-footed kicker appeared in 46 games over four seasons for the Volunteers, seeing action at kicker and punter. As a kicker, Palardy connected on 37-of-50 (74.0 percent) field goal attempts and 109-of-115 (94.8 percent) extra-point attempts for 220 points. As a punter, Palardy totaled 117 punts for 5,024 yards (42.9 avg.) with 50 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. The Coral Springs, Fla., native also posted 224 kickoffs for 13,843 yards and 50 touchbacks.
He was honored with various accolades during his senior season: 2013 ESPN.com All-SEC First Team, 2013 SEC Coaches Second Team All-SEC Kicker, 2013 AP All-SEC Honorable Mention Punter. He was also a 2013 Ray Guy Semifinalist.
With Oakland, Palardy joins former Tennessee teammates tight end Mychal Rivera, wide receiver Denarius Moore and lineman Jarrod Shaw. The Raiders also feature former Vols' linebacker Kevin Burnett. With five Vols on the roster, it is the most of any NFL team.
