Why I Wore the Number
James Woody
Middle Guard (1968)
"I wore number 59 as a middle guard because I low man on the pole. I switched to number 87 the next year when I moved to defensive end and linebacker. My favorite thing about wearing the numbers 59 and 87 was that my parents could find me on the field."
