Terry Moore, a former University of Tennessee Volunteers fullback, passed away in a home accident on July 4, 2009. Moore played under Coach Bill Battle from 1972-75 and was the first freshman who ever played on the varsity team.

Moore, 55, who starred at Clinton High School from 1970-71, was recruited by Battle, along with teammates Larry Seivers and Russell Williams.

He was pastor of Freedom Fellowship Church in Clinton, Tenn., and had been a minister since 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, and sons, Bradley Moore, Jason Moore & wife, Rebecca, Joshua Moore & wife, Ashley, and Andrew Moore

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service following at 8 p.m. with Rev. Gene Wood officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Fellowship Church, P. O. Box 1366, Clinton, Tennessee 37717.

Family & friends will meet on Thursday, July 9th at 10:30 AM at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton for graveside services. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
