Vols on ESPNU for First Time

The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Tennessee's Nov. 7 Homecoming date against Memphis is being televised by ESPNU and kicks off at 7 p.m. Eastern time. This marks UT's first ever football appearance on the ESPN-owned network specializing in college sports.

The Vols lead the series against the Tigers 20-1, having won the last five games. Tennessee is 11-0 at Neyland Stadium against its cross-state rival, the most recent victory at 20-16 decision in 2005. Former UT tight end Tommy West (1973-75) is in his ninth season as Memphis head coach.

Other games being televised that weekend involving SEC teams are South Carolina at Arkansas on the SEC Network (11:21 a.m. Central), LSU at Alabama on CBS (2:30 p.m. Central), Vanderbilt at Florida on either ESPN or ESPN2 (7:15 p.m. Eastern, network to be determined after this weekend) and Northern Arizona at Mississippi on Comcast Sports Southeast (6:30 p.m. Central). Three schools are using their pay-per-view option that weekend: Georgia vs. Tennessee Tech (1 p.m. Eastern), Kentucky vs. Eastern Kentucky (1 p.m. Eastern) and Auburn vs. Furman (12:30 p.m. Central).
