Miller To Play In College All Star Bowl

Dec. 5, 2013

UT

GREENVILLE, S.C. - University of Tennessee senior defensive lineman Corey Miller has accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 College All Star Bowl on February 14, 2014.

Miller will be the first Vol to participate in the game, which is held at Palladin Stadium on the campus of Furman University and will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network.

The Greenville, S.C. campus is just a half an hour from Miller's hometown of Wellford, S.C.

Miller finished his Tennessee career on a high note breaking a 30-year old Tennessee sack record held by the Minister of Defense Reggie White when he recorded 4.5 sacks against Kentucky in the final game of his UT career.

Miller ended his senior season with 6.5 sacks, the most for any Vol since Parys Haralson, now of the New Orleans Saints had 8.5 and Hall had 7.0 in 2005. He also recorded a career-high 36 tackles, including a career-best seven against Kentucky.

This year, the College All Star Bowl will feature the Nationals, led by Clemson National Champion Head Coach Danny Ford, and the Americans, led by College Football Hall of Fame Head Coach Willie Jeffries of South Carolina State.

This year's teams will be determined by a unique player draft conducted by each team's coaching staffs and by the bowl's scouting department.
