VOL FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
On behalf of The University of Tennessee Athletics Department, welcome to Volunteer Football. While cheering for your Volunteers, please remember to show good sportsmanship at all times. Help provide a safe and fun environment for everyone involved. We ask that you refrain from throwing objects of any kind onto the playing surface, and regardless of today's outcome, be supportive of your team by recognizing great effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
In the spirit of sportsmanship, fans shall:
Conduct themselves in a manner that represents UT, the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA with honor, dignity and respect
Demonstrate qualities of civility and sportsmanship at all times
Not use vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning, or intimidating language at any time
Support the players, coaches and officials in the positive manner
Treat the visiting team, coaches and fans with courtesy and respect at all times
Not engage in cheers that are vulgar, crass or demeaning
Refrain from throwing objects onto the field for any reason
Not become inebriated or belligerent
Refrain from entering playing and team areas at any time, including the conclusion of the game
Be a positive role model for those around you by treating others with courtesy and respect!

Due to the Vol Walk and the band march, Volunteer Boulevard from east Andy Holt Avenue to Lake Loudoun Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5:15 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. Also, Phillip Fulmer Way from east Andy Holt Avenue to Peyton Manning Pass will be closed from 5:15 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. Parking permit holders in Staff Lot 9 and other parking lots in this area should arrive two hours prior to kickoff in order to avoid vehicular traffic and pedestrian congestion.
Phillip Fulmer Way begins one way traffic from Cumberland towards Lake Loudon Blvd three hours before kick-off.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE STADIUM
From McGhee Tyson airport: Turn north on U.S. Highway 129 leaving airport. After crossing the Tennessee River bridge just outside of Knoxville, exit onto Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153). Turn left (south) at the bottom of the exit ramp and follow road until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to stadium area.
From I-40 east (from Nashville) and I-75 north (from Chattanooga): Follow I-40 and I-75 to I-40/I-75 junction in west Knoxville. Continue on I-40 east to U.S. Highway 129 south. Follow 129 south to the exit for Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153). Turn left (south) at the bottom of the exit ramp and follow the road until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to stadium area.
From I-40 west (from Asheville, N.C.): Follow I-40 west to the Hall of Fame Drive. Take a left at the top of the exit and follow Hall of Fame Drive to the Neyland Drive exit (Tennessee Highway 153). Follow Neyland Drive until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible. Turn right onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to stadium area.
Due to rock slide, both directions of I-40 are closed at mile marker 3, near the Tennessee State Line, in Haywood Co., West of Asheville, N.C. The road is not expected to reopen for several months.
Detour: Motorists traveling west to Tennessee should take I-40 West to I-240 West in Asheville to I-26 West. Follow I-26 West from Asheville to I-81 South in Tennessee, back to I-40.
From I-75 south (from Lexington, Ky.): Follow I-75 south to I-275 south just past Merchants Road. Follow I-275 to I-40 east. Exit I-40 east onto James White Parkway and follow Parkway to Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153) until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible. Turn right onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to stadium area.
PARKING POLICIES
2009 Football Parking Map 
Game day parking for all lots surrounding Neyland Stadium is reserved for season parking pass holders. Donors who have previously requested and paid for parking permits will receive their passes in the mail before the season. Improperly parked vehicles or those found in a restricted area will be towed at the owner's expense. Towed vehicles may be claimed by contacting the UT Police at (865) 974-3114.
Disabled Parking
Handicapped parking and shuttle service will continue to be available from the Agricultural Campus. For a handicap parking pass, please call UT Parking Services (865) 974-6031.
Off Campus Parking/Shuttles
Numerous KAT buses are designated for transporting fans to and from the Civic Coliseum, Old City and Market Square area of downtown at a round-trip cost of $3 per person starting three hours prior to game time. There will be eight buses running from Farragut High School off Campbell Station Road to Neyland Stadium at a round-trip cost of $15 per person starting three hours prior to game time. RV Parking
RV parking is available at the Ag Campus for $250 per game. Call (865) 974-1218.
There will be no recreational vehicle parking on the main campus without a permit. RV's will find parking at the Civic Coliseum and at the Blackstock Street lot located behind the Foundry at the North World's Fair area. The cost is $25 per day, with room for approximately 100 RVs and hookups for 20. Security will be provided at the Coliseum site beginning Friday after 3 p.m. KAT Shuttle service to Neyland Stadium is available.

Neyland Stadium Ticket Policy
Gates to Neyland Stadium will open two (2) hours prior to kickoff. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium at the gate printed on their ticket.
There are 26 gates in Neyland Stadium. They are numbered in order clockwise around the stadium from 1 to 26. To find the best stadium entrance to reach your seats, a complete list of gates is available on the seating chart link at the top of this article (Neyland Stadium Seating Chart).
Stadium seating is numbered from left to right, and tickets designate section, row and seat number. Seat 1 will be on the left when facing the seats from the field. Please retain a ticket stub any time away from the seating area.

Tennessee Athletic Ticket Office Guidelines for Neyland Stadium
 All fans (regardless of ages) must have a ticket for admission to Neyland Stadium.  No pass out checks are allowed with the exception of the inclement weather policy. In the event of inclement weather, please retain your ticket stub for readmission. If the stadium is cleared due to inclement weather, you may reenter the stadium with your ticket stub. Everyone will again be subject to search.  This ticket is a revocable license for the ticket holder to gain admission to an event sponsored by Tennessee Athletics. The University of Tennessee reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission to or eject any patron from the event venue at any time, for any reason permitted by law.  Incidents involving lost, stolen or destroyed tickets will be addressed with the season ticket holder of record only at the Ticket Office. Photo identification is required.  Dates and times on game tickets are subject to change.  University policies and state and federal laws will be in effect.  The violation of any rules may prevent admission to a Tennessee Athletic event, removal from an event, and jeopardize the violator's admission into subsequent Tennessee Athletic events, including the forfeiture of season tickets and the ability to purchase single-game tickets.
Prohibited Items at Neyland Stadium
The University of Tennessee reserves the right to examine the contents of any container brought into the stadium. To protect the safety of our fans, players, officials and staff, the following items are prohibited:
 Smoking is prohibited in Neyland Stadium at all times
 Alcoholic Beverages
 Cans, Bottles, Coolers
 Outside food, snacks, beverages
 Radios without Headsets  Open Umbrellas  Video Cameras  Stadium seats with Arms  Large bags or parcels, including Backpacks and larger purses  Weapons  Artificial Noisemakers
Please do not attempt to bring these or similar articles in the stadium. Items will not be stored at the gate and/or stadium for pickup after the game.
Permissible Items
 Cell Phones  Binoculars  Radios with Headsets  Diaper Bags when accompanied by an infant  Limited use of cameras. Game action may not be filmed. Consideration of other spectators is expected.
Smoking Policy
Tennessee law prohibits smoking in all buildings owned or operated by The University of Tennessee. Accordingly, smoking is prohibited in Neyland Stadium.
NEYLAND STADIUM FAN SERVICES
Elevator Pass
Persons needing elevator access should contact the Event Management Office at (865) 974-1205. A copy of a handicap placard or a doctor's statement of need is required to receive an elevator pass. Passes are recorded and mailed to the individual in August. Each pass is good for two (2) people to use the elevator listed on the pass. Passes must be renewed yearly by mail or telephone.
Fan Information Centers
Fan Information Centers will be open four hours before each home game. Vol fan centers are located at Gates 1, 10, 21 and 22 at Neyland Stadium as well as Toyota Volunteer Village.
I.D.-A-FAN
The University of Tennessee Athletics Department announced the launch of a new initiative, "I.D.-A-Fan," aimed at reducing the time a child and parent could be separated in the game day crowd. Fans have the opportunity to stop by a Fan Information Booth and pick up a bracelet free of charge.
The "I.D.-A-Fan" bracelet contains contact information for the parent or guardian with the child and the seat location in case of separation in the stadium.
Fan Information Booths open four hours prior to kick-off and are located at Vol Village, Gate 10, Gate 21, Gate 22 and Gate 1. Bracelets will also be available at the customer service booth inside Gate 21.
First Aid (Defibrillators/AEDs)
In case of a medical emergency during a game, the University of Tennessee and the American Red Cross have established four first-aid stations in Neyland Stadium located on the lower level in the concourse outside of sections O/P and X1, and in the upper level in the concourse outside of sections II and XX4. The stations are staffed with medical doctors, nurses and other qualified personnel. Trained first-aid teams are located throughout the stadium, ready to administer immediate care. If you need medical assistance, notify the team nearest you. If you are unable to locate a team, find a law enforcement officer or usher and he or she will direct you. This is a service provided by the University of Tennessee and the American Red Cross.

There are several buildings with restroom facilities that are open on game days:

Vendor/Food Locations
Souvenirs are available at Tennessee Traditions in Stokely Athletic Center, Gate 20 inside the stadium on game days and the University of Tennessee bookstore in the University Center. Food vendors are located at Volunteer Village across from Circle Park. The University Center and Thompson-Boling Arena dining facilities are also open on game days.
Telephones
Telephones on-campus are located in the University Center. Public courtesy phones are located outside the First Aid Command Stations and at the Elevators on level 1 at Gate 21 inside the stadium.
ATM Locations
There are three ATMs in the stadium located at Gate 21 elevator lobby, section Y9 and level 2 secton F & G.
Lost and Found
Lost articles may be turned in at the Gate 21 elevators. Such items will then be turned over to the University of Tennessee Security Office, 1101 Cumberland Avenue, where they may be called for Monday following each game at (865) 974-3114.
Meeting Places
In case you get separated from your family or friends, please plan ahead to have two designated meeting places - one inside the stadium, such as your gate, seat or favorite concession stand; and another outside the stadium, such as a predetermined landmark like The Torchbearer, or a parking space. If you need assistance, contact the nearest usher or police officer.
Stadium Security
There are police officers, ushers, and event security personnel stationed throughout the stadium during football games. If you have any problems during the game, please locate the nearest police officer, usher, or security personnel for assistance. |
