Dan Hamilton has been a key member of Tennessee's Strength and Conditioning Staff since 2002, when he worked as a volunteer and graduate assistant conditioning the golf, spirit and dance squads in addition to assisting with football.
The 31-year-old was named Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2006, continuing his work with the football team and nationally ranked men's golf team. Acting as a bridge between the training room and weight room, Hamilton designs individual conditioning programs for injured players, helping them return to the field in better shape than when they left. Hamilton also is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the weight room, including administrative and budgetary issues.
A native of Randolph, Ohio, Hamilton graduated from Ohio State University in 2002 in sports and leisure studies with an athletic training emphasis. He earned his master's degree from UT in human performance and sports studies in 2004.
He is married to the former Sarah Hilker of Akron, Ohio.
