The Tennessee men's golf team travels this weekend to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., to compete in its second tournament of the spring season.
Hosted by the University of North Florida, the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational runs Sunday through Tuesday at Sawgrass Country Club.
Competition begins with 18 holes on Sunday beginning at 8:00 am Eastern time. Play continues with the second round on Monday before the tournament concludes on Tuesday.
The field includes SEC opponents Alabama, LSU, South Carolina and Vanderbilt along with Augusta State, UNC-Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Notre Dame, North Florida, Pepperdine, UAB, UCLA, and Central Florida.
Charlie Ford mans the No. 1 position for the Vols. The junior fired his low-round for the season, a 3-under-par 68 at the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate, Jan. 29-30.
Philip Pettitt will stand at No. 2 for Tennessee. Pettitt fired a scorecard of 72-72-71--215 to finish 34th in the first tournament of the spring.
Chris Paisley is at the No. 3 position for the Big Orange. The sophomore earned his career-best fifth-place finish with a career-low 54 hole score of 206.
Tino Weiss fills the No. 4 hole for the Volunteers. Weiss is third on the team with a 72.33 scoring average and has fired eight round of par or better this season.
Rounding out the lineup at the No. 5 position for the Vols will either be junior Jonathan Mount or freshman James Brannen. The two will play a qualifier in Florida on Saturday to see who competes in the tournament.
